Hotel and tourist facilities

1. Can an hotel or accommodation facility manager give hospitality to a person lacking a personal ID document?

No. Hotel or accommodation  facility managers ( except mountain shelters and other accomodation facilities of Italy’s autonomous  regions ) can only give hospitality to E. U. citizen owning a personal ID  ( non E. U. citizen need to show their passaport). Ids have to have a clear picture of the person.

2.  I bought an “all inclusive” trip at a travel agency but I cannot make the trip anymore. Can I hand the trip over to a friend?

Yes. You can hand the trip over to a person who fulfills the appropriate requirements . Also, you have to write to the travel agency explaining that you cannot leave any longer and informing them of  the handing over of your trip to another person ( including this person’s personal information. ), at least 4 days before the departure date.

3.  Can you give me some information on good hotels in Rome?

4.  I would like to have information on italian accomodation facilities that accept animals.

5.  Someone stole my watch from my hotel room but the hotel manager says he is not responsible for this robbery. Is this acceptable?

The hotel manager is forced to refund any stolen objects (if stolen from your room) only if you immediately informed him/her of the robbery. Also, you can be refund up to 100 times more than the daily cost of your room. Example : if the object you have been stolen was worth 9000 euros but you room costs 80 euros per night, the hotel manager can refund you only 8000 euros (80 times 100).

6. I am Russian, but at the moment I legally reside in Italy, can I use Buoni Vacanze?

Households composed of Italian and EU citizens regularly residing in Italy and non-EU citizens with regular residence permit and residence are entitled to get state aid. At the date of request of Buoni Vacanze they must have the social and economic requirements based on family composition and on the income brackets as described in the table.
